These are conceptual versions based on my project Working Forest. The highly efficient industrial tree farm model eliminates all distracting elements of a true forest. The result of a single species stand of trees that are all the same age is a vast reduction in biodiversity. 

This model is incredibly productive in the rich soils that surround my home where these photographs were made. The risk in a changing climate is lack of resiliency. By clinging to this model, as the planet warms, the question becomes, 'Are these forests working?'.
